In addition to having established YogaHabits, I also regularly write yoga blogs for the YogaHabits website. The idea for YogaHabits actually arouse around the idea to create a yoga blog. 

 

Because of the conversations in the locker room after a yoga class, I noticed that many yogi(ni)'s are looking for more yoga tools. Tools to integrate yoga even more into their lives outside the asana classes. This created the idea to write blogs and share my experience with yoga lifestyle tools. In this case combined with a yoga shop, because I also missed my favorite yoga clothing brands in the Netherlands...

  

Although I attended my first yoga class in 2008 it was not until 2012 that it became a daily yoga practice. However, before I started my asana practice, I have been interested in nutrition, habits and mindfulness for a long time already. Nevertheless, everything came together with my yoga asana classes. It was my moment of the day, even though the form -bikram yoga- that I practiced was physically quite intense it was truly relaxing for my mind. It also changed me and my life outside the yoga classes. And the more I practiced, the more I started to see that the challenges during the yoga classes, are also the challenges we face outside the yoga class. Just in another form. And that our yoga practice is a very nice and effective tool to learn to deal with these challenges of life.

  

As a result, I really wanted to do a bikram yoga teacher training, which finally happened in 2014. After which I also started teaching yoga. Just like with the establishment of YogaHabits in 2015, I love to share my love for yoga with you. I hope to inspire you with my yoga blogs to keep following your own (yoga) path and to discover more and more of yourself.

By that I mean that it was not in advance focused on the result 'gratitude'. Logical, because it’s a state of being.
